Finishing my bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing has given me a lot of experience through industry placement. An industry placement is where we can experience an internship, whereas working with a company that you desire and experiencing the real work that I have imagined for this whole degree.

Based on the experience that I have had during this internship, I have gained and learned the skills needed to manage and prioritise things that should be done. The reason is that while managing this internship and the degree pursued, the pile of work gets doubled and heavier.
I gained skills from this internship such as time management, prioritising, self-control, and quick learning.
Time management
There are timeframes that we need to achieve when doing things. As a student, we are expected to manage and finish assignments along students, we are expected to manage and finish assignments and internships on time. That’s why, it is important to have time management to organise and maintain work-life balance.
From my experience, the time management skills that I have gained are through managing how we can remember and take notes on things that need to be done, according to the date and urgency. Arrange the activities by starting at the earliest due to the latest deadline, to know the urgency of things that need to be finished first.
However, as a reminder, set a time frame for each deadline, as we need breaks in between to maintain our condition.

Prioritising
Prioritising skills are required to be able to manage work-life balance. Maintaining daily activities and deadlines is difficult and physically demanding.
The thoughts of maintaining health may seem easy, but the fact that balancing work, deadlines, and other activities is challenging for the health, as the body may feel physically tired and not able to give maximum performance. As a result, deadlines could be missed and things that we have planned could be ruined.
The importance of prioritising is to avoid stress, be able to maintain time management and give room for flexibility because we have to manage things that need to be focused and complete.
Decision Making
In this internship, I learned a lot about decision-making, especially in working remotely. I have the decision to decide on things that I am willing to do and things that I will do. On the other hand, decision-making is important because I need to set my boundaries and my limits, as I am only an intern.
Setting the border and deciding the limitations for ourselves is important. Sometimes, there are times when the company may need urgent help, especially with events. As a result, we might work out of work hours or may do things out of expectation. In this situation, we need to be professional, yet this is where decision-making is needed to know and understand things that we should or should not do according to the role that we undertake.
Quick learning
Working remotely requires quick learning skills. Although there will be a team working together, we are still going to be alone when doing all the tasks that are assigned to us. On the other hand, the team will not always be there, so we need to quickly learn and understand things that need to be done.
Furthermore, quick learning means to adapt within a short period. This is because we are required to start right away and adapt to the system as soon as possible. It is important to understand and adapt to the system to get used to the working environment and maintain the balance between work and daily life.
